Hi, I’m Mrs. Alison! I’m a wife, mom, music lover and – after many years in public education – a very happy homeschool teacher! Our family’s Happy Haven story began when my now-16-year-old was in Mrs. Alicia’s 3rd grade class. Alicia and I went on to teach together in various public school settings over the course of 10 years, so it feels pretty special to now be teaching alongside her in a whole new setting.

I’ve always loved the joy that comes from learning, music, laughter, and being part of a great community. Happy Haven has become a special part of my story, and I’m grateful to now have the opportunity to pour into the students and families who make this community so wonderful. I’m excited to teach, sing, laugh, and make some great memories along the way!

Teaching Philosophy: I believe every student can experience joy, connection, and success in academics and music, regardless of age or ability by participating in inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
